We rented a restored Mid Century home tucked in the pines and rowed a canoe each day to this beautiful white sand beach from our house. The water was clear and clean and it was so special to be able to walk out our door and head over there. One day we took the Ferry over to Martha’s Vineyard from the Cape. We rented a jeep or a buggy as the girls called it and saw people jumping off this bridge. Scott couldn’t help but join in. A random weekend we decided to drive up to NYC. We chose to stay down in Battery Park which we had never done before and our room came with the most incredible view of the Statue of Liberty. This was Maya’s favorite spot in the room. During our trip to Cape Cod, we came across a tattoo shop. Scott and I had been married on a boat so we took both kids in and we got tattoos to remember our wedding day, then 5 years ago and this beautiful vacation we were having. A place that looks cold and dingy to some and epically beautiful to others like him. Montreal, last May. We drove up to Montreal to celebrate my cousin’s wedding. It was a long drive, but every day while the girls and I rested after dinner, he would find special spots to skate around the city. Won Dharma Meditation Center in Hudson Valley, NY. We rented the most relaxing and cutest cottage upstate NY. We kept driving past this sign, but couldn’t more. So one day we decided to drive up and explore. We spent the day hiking it’s trails and taking it it’s beauty and ending it with a family mediation… Senna only lasted maybe 45 seconds. It was the last family vacation we had together. The week of what would have been my husband’s 38th birthday, we spent a few days at the beach to have a memorial for him. We visited his favorite spots and loved the cold air on the wet sand. A few weeks after he passed, we drove 8 hours to the Outer Banks, NC to stay with friends and have a change of scenery. The girls tried paddle boarding there for the first time. The girls and our dear friend John in Ocean City, NJ for the week of Scott’s memorial. These three have a special bond and big love for one another. In Ocean City, NJ.
