Osprey Poco Child Carrier

I’ve worn my babies since they were born. (Well, technically, for the nine months before they were born too.) I’ve experimented with all kinds of wraps and techniques I’ve seen in many countries. But for extended hikes or long days, I prefer the Osprey Poco Plus Child Carrier.

E & M Machu Picchu

It’s comfortable. It has several ways to easily adjust the size for the child and wearer. It can accommodate a baby or toddler up to 48.5 lbs. (Although, seriously. If you’re 48.5 lbs, you’ve got to hike yourself up that mountain, right?) It has extra space for items you might need for a day trip and a sunshade to protect that cute noggin. If I could change one thing, I would add some kind of forcefield so that my child doesn’t try to grab my hair like horse reins. A hat and cute braids like the Osprey model in the video below is a decent alternative to the forcefield. I suppose.
